M37 front fenders
Hi,
I have a friend who owns a Dodge M37CDN and he started recently its ground up reconstruction. This truck is not in bad shape but the front fenders are rot at the place where the front brackets are bolted. Is it possible to have patch panels with the embossed section? If no, does someone has a pair of good front fenders for sale? Cheers

M37 Fender Patch Panels
The patch panels for M37 front fender repair are available from Charles Talbert of M-Series Rebuild. He has a web site with his business information and contacts. These were not available for some time and then Charles stepped up and had a bunch run off. He is very knowledgeable on all things M37 and generous with his help.

M37cdn
Bill, If your friend needs any parts specific to M37CDNs and can't locate them out your way, I have a parts truck and may be able to help. But, we are a long ways apart and shipping would be a killer.... There are a few M37CDN guys way out west, but you likely have a lot more choices for parts in Ontario, Quebec, Maine and upstate New York. I can give you some starting points if you can't find them on your own. Good Hunting...

Nice!
Thanks for posting those pics. It looks in pretty good shape for a 60+ yr old truck. I neglected to mention that for some parts, you can contact Brian Asbury. Brian is a member here. He still has some M37 bits. South of the border, its John Bizal at Midwest Military, Adirondack Dodge, and Vintage Power Wagons. If your friend doesn't have a manual, I have a Canadian Repair Manual that could get copied for him. Most US M37 manuals are available for download on line. Let me know if you want the links sent...

I bought the patch panels a number of years ago for a truck I had. They were a quality product then and knowing Charles Talbert's rep, I would say they still will be. Weld them in carefully as the fenders will warp. Don't ask how I know!!
I have a CD of repair manuals but not for the M37Cdn It isn't much different. I am not sure if it is protected or not but if not could burn a copy. John Bizal is another great guy to deal with as Jess has mentioned. I ordered a number of items from John when I had mine and it was great service. Guy
I suggest you post an advert in the USA and see what comes up. There are a couple websites that I know you visit where stuff like this comes up from time to time. I know there was a pair of mint fenders there for sale last year. This is the achilles heel of the M37 is always the fenders...

G741 Forum For M37
For the benefit of those who can't read our PMs, I'll post the link to the M37 G741 Forum. This is a dedicated M37 Forum and you can get solid technical advice, opinions based on experience and post on the Swap forum for Needs and Wants. This doesn't replace this great forum and Canadian members will want to look in on both MLU and the G741 for local sources and like minded people.
There are several members on G741 who are located just over the border? in Vermont and New York that may have fenders. http://www.g741.org/PHPBB/ |
