Default Wireless Set No 12 - Generators

Amongst a load of stuff we have collected over the years are a couple of Pioneer Gen-E-Motor BD-12-A generators, apparently designed specifically for WS No12.

They are similar to the BSA 15V and 30V generators, but have a full carrying frame and an additional flywheel to smooth the engine power pulses.

Output is 220V and 12V.

We have a manual, but would like some information on the WS No 12 itself if possible.

One of the gennies is pretty complete, the other is 95% complete.

Short of a manual the book Wireless for the Warrier is the bible on British and Commonwealth manufactured Radio's.

These particular generators came in late war when these sets were being used in a more mobile role. Larger British manufactured sets were used previously. Judging by the number of these Generators which seem to have survived, presumably they did not see large scale use.
