Default WWII Dated Coveralls

Hey guys,
I have three pairs of cotton coveralls for sale. They are all Indian made, maker marked and dated 2 pair 1944, 1 pair 1943. They are all size 104, sorry I have no idea what size that is here but I am 6'1" and they don't fit me.
The pics are of one representative pair, the others are identical except for makers mark.
I am asking $20 CDN each plus shipping at cost. I can accept MO or personal cheque in Canada...but it won't ship until the cheque clears.
Please email me at jeff_holl(nospam)@hotmail.com or PM me here if interested.

.
So, are they too big or too small for a six footer?

Hi RHC,
I think they would be too small for a 6 footer also.
The length from the pant cuff to the shoulder seam at the collar is 5'2", the inseam measures 30" and sleeve length from cuff to shoulder seam is 25".
I tried to find some size conversions online but didn't have any luck with mens sizes.
Regards,
Jeff

Default WWII dated coveralls

Greetings. My experience with sizing .... I got a period tank suit off U-pay from a gal in the UK, nice Lady, but she was wrong about it being a size 50. What I found is this: if the garment has a sewn on waistbelt, the correct and actual size is what the belt fits at it's fullest adjustment. I have a second tanksuit, belt is 56-inch long - prefect for my 'large' frame.

Hence, the smaller tank suit I speak of is actually a size 46, fits a bloke about 5'6" tall, just has lots of room in the body for being worn over uniforms, etc.

There is usually a tag sewn in near the elastic gathering at the wrist, right arm usually, but the tag on the smaller suit was washed out and told nothing useful.

Cheers, Johnnie.

Default Got my coverall.....

Thanks Jeff.

Very pleased....... but I lost ownership...... they are way to small for me and plans are top use it to make a pattern for my size.....\

....but the wife tried them on and they fit her perfectly..... so she says she is keeping them for when I give her a ride in my truck.....

Now to find a competent seamstress to make a pattern....

Boob

Hi Bob,
Thanks for letting me know they arrived OK. Glad they will be put to good use. Hopefully the wife won't want to spend MORE time in the truck.
