But, beware not to introduce designations like Ram IIa, IIb, etc. as these never existed. Sure, there were many production changes, but changes in hull and turret types did not happen at the same time. If you want to list them all, you will end up with several pages of production changes only of interest to the Ram tank anorak (been there, done that 10 years ago). Note: the upkeep of html code is extremely labour intensive, I think it would be easier to use a spreadsheet or database and generate html code from that. H

Hanno,
Your point is taken and I have changed the nomenclature. For the sake of organisation I will probably keep them in these five sub-sections. I would be interested in finding a decent on-line editable DB. Do you know of one? The Ram WD Registry is now 60% uploaded. Over the next few days I will get the entire frame-work finished. Within a few weeks I expect a substantial number of files from the Archives and that will fill in some gaps, as did your uploads. Thnx, Clive

Hanno,
Even in their after-life they should be recorded. Can I use the picture? Clive

RAM WD Numbers
Hey Guys don't forget me...!
I have been collecting T numbers for some three years now, mostly from the Regimental war Diaries held in the National Archives. The Ram Tank CT listings have been v elusive, especially as the Canadian war Diaries in the UK are only the tertiary copies and do not contain the Annexes. That said, one or two of the regiments had details on some of their vehicles in their Daily Orders which have been included in the UK copies. I would be delighted to pass on those that I have - just let me know how and to whom and I will send on an Excel Spreadsheet. Of course, once you have done the Rams, you can start on the Shermans - now there's a challenge ! All the best Roddy |

The major work on the RamTank has now been completed. With the help of Hanno, Kevin T and others I have some information on over 60% of all Rams produced. More will be posted in the next few days and another 'lot' when several hundred pages are delivered from National Archives in a month or so.
Additionally, there are now about 20 Ram tank photos inserted in the registry. All contributions are welcome and an acknowledgement section will be put together shortly.

Nice work.
A couple of things.
Not sure if it is my computer but some of the photos in Ram I and II seem to overlay the text. I would like to thank Bill Miller who has supplied me with much of the information I have. I have just compiled it into a sortable Excel spreadsheet format. Thanks also to Clive for some great work in getting this altogether. Cheers Kevin |

RAM WDs
Clive -
Many thanks - Yep I have been following the whole process. What has amazed me is just how quickly the info has been collected, collated and displayed - very scary ! I was serious ref the Shermans - if everyone can achieve this with the Rams, just think what could be achieved with a much bigger project. Count me in if you do... By the way, what of the Canadian 'Grizzly' ? Did they have T series numbers ? Never really come across any before. Congrats to all for a really quite excellent effort - and a lot of fun ! Roddy |

Following on...
Roddys idea of listing all the Shermans etc, is great. But perhaps if a Regiment a time was tackled it may not seem so daunting.
As the lists builtup perhaps there could be a central database listing all Shermans / Regiments? Just a thought. Cheers Kevin |
