Once the MVs go away for winter
This past Sunday saw a group of local MV owners assemble here in Gananoque at our local Royal Canadian Legion Branch with our wives / girlfriends and kids.
In all we were 10, including the unborn, but very much evident baby, being carried by one attendee. Our local Legion holds a sunday brunch once a month and I thought it was an ideal way for us all to get together socially and involve our spouses / partners and also make it not a burden for any one member by having them do the work. We all had a great time and it was refreshing to see how much people enjoyed being out even without our vehicles. The biggest winner was the Legion who had 10 people attend who otherwise would not have done so. Robin |

Keeping MV Groups Active in the Winter
Hi Robin
You raise a very good point for those of us who live in climates that prohibit or limit activities with or MVs in the winter. Our local club here in New Hampshire tries to have at least two events, parades, shows, road tours etc during the good weather months April through October. We even have two events in November but the vehicle centered comes to a halt once the salt hits the road. Then the problem is as you point out to find social centered events to bring the group together. Things like Christmas Parties, January Brunch, winter flea market, the month we really have problem with is February any ideas? Keep up those winter events particular liked including the kids, just shows it is never to early to get them involved. Cheers Phil

Good point Robin.
Many of the Legion branches regularly hold dinners which are open to everyone, often on a Saturday or Sunday along with brunches or lunches. When I was living in the Guelph area, quite a few of us used to partake in meals served up by the Legion. Reasonably priced, no cooking for spouses and a great way to support local Legion branches. An excellent way for MV folks to get together.
