Default Vintage Wings Air Rallye Ottawa

My understanding is that the Air Rallye at the Rockcliffe Air Museum, which many of us have attended in the past with our vehicles and tents , will this year be a one-day event only - on 18th June. Is this what others understand - and will any of you be attending.....Morley, Gene, Mike C??

Not me, prior booking for day after means that day is the prep day.

Default NOT Vintage Wings....

David:
This is not a Vintage Wings deal. They are off to all the other shows that weekend.

This will predominantly be private fly-in aircraft, classic cars and military vehicles, run by the Aviation Museum and Classic Air Rallye gang.

Don.

Default Ottawa Air Rallye

Thanks Don
Do you know if there will be an event as in previous years? If so, when? Last year was good with your stuff from the war museum and the active stuff from the air museum.

Default Air Rally

According to their website, they'll move it back to August next year for 2 days.

Don
Do you know why they changed the format for this year? Two days and with Vintage Wings makes it good, especially for us out-of-towners. Seemed like a good formula. Not sure its worth the gas for one day and no Spit/Hurri etc.

Quite hard for us guys down here to find out whats going on event-wise in Ottawa. Couldnt find anything about this event on the aviation museum website!

Hello David

Did you change your e-mail address?

I included you on the e-mail sent out 25 May with details of some Ottawa events.

Mark will be sending out an e-mail later today with more details.

Thanks
Eric

Default Updates on show

I have been in touch with the event coordinator for the 18 June event at the
Canadian Aviation and Space Museum and details as follows:

They are please to hear of our participation and have asked that you reply to ME no later than 15 June as to your participation - I will then inform them of this. When replying please also let me know of the year, make and model of The vehicle you intend on bringing to the event. DEWATS are ACCEPTABLE as are period uniforms (hopefully matching to the era of your particular vehicle) and they will aslo be feeding you lunch. Unfortunately there is no reimbursement for gas.

They ask that for the 18th that you please be there BEFORE 0900hrs and REMAIN until 1700hrs.

On their web site there is a registration form (see hyperlink in the following
link - http://www.flightworks.ca/page?s=129 ) and you are asked to fill this in (ignoring the fact that it says Aug 2010 on the form - scratch this out and
insert the 18th Jun) and BRING IT WITH YOU as it will get you through the gate. I will be there before 0900 to assist in getting you all through the gates.
