Default Matilda Owner

Hi all - I am doing some research for a guy called Bill Criel but I have lost his telephone number. He is after a set of gauges and I believe they are CAV gauges. He told me that there were two sizes, 2" and 2 1/4 or 1/2". His housing holds the larger size.

Matt - as you are the guru of Matildas, could you assist with some advice and images of the gauges/speedometer please.

Bob

Default matilda gauges

goodevening

The Temp gauges are made by ARIC, they are 60.4mm (2 3/8) in diameter. the part number is MT1/AQ/TCL/183/180.

The speedometer is made by smiths, the part number is MT1/SM/25914/36
0 to 40 MPH, it is 82mm in dia.

The fuel oil gauge is Smiths, MT1/SM/type 498.F6

The lube oil gauges are smiths, MT1/SM, 0-160lbs, type A597

the air gauge is smiths, MT1/SM/ type A597, 0-160lbs

AEC tanks had oil gauges that read from 0 to 60lbs, (same type number)

the smiths gauges are all 50.8mm ( 2'') in diameter.

the best palace to look is the web site, http://www.prewarcar.com/

Kind regards

Default Re. Matilda Gauges

Thanks Matt for the comprehensive information. Now all I have to do is track down this Bill Criel. Somebody must know him especially as he has a Matilda, and they are not common.

Bob
