Hi Ed and others,
I know you have stated that you don't have the info about any Canadian military motorcycles. But there are several post-war Triumph TRWs, CanAms, Armstrongs and Kawasakis kicking around with CAR and CFR numbers. My question is: Does anyone have any leads or data on the CAR/CFR numbers for these bikes? My 57 TRW has the original white-painted stencil numbers on the tank "57-93992", and I have also seen many other ex-Cdn military bikes with their original 'numbers' still visible. Any leads would be appreciated. Rev high! Alex |

Alex;
There is limited CFR data for only six Triumphs (they are listed as Model year 1956), but there is information for some of the later models of motorcycles used by DND such as the Armstrong, Can Am, Kawasaki and Mathias Trapp to name a few. The Triumph had its own Ordnance Parts Catalogue as well as a Data Summary and User Handbook, so there is still some surviving vehicle related documentation. ED |
