Ford Holley 94 carburettor jet sizes
While shopping for a Ford Holley carb rebuild kit on eBay, I noticed some sellers offer a choice of main jet and power valve sizes. Standards quoted are .051 main jets and a 7.5 hg power valve.
Are these the right specs for a wartime Ford CMP engine? Any advice on other jet/valve sizes taking into account today's fuels, etc.? Thanks! Hanno

Power/economiser valves- Ford Holley carburetors
Good Day Hanno,
Looking at some Flathead V8 Ford hotrod information it appears 7.5 hg is the standard power valve in a stock engine. Power valves are produced in other ratings such as of 3.5 hg, 4.5 hg, and 5.5 hg but these appear to be for the hot rod market where multiple carb setup are used which results in the manifold vaccuum being greatly altered. The rating number is supposed to be stamped on the valve. Will have a look at mine to satisfy my curiosity also. Brgds,
