Also in the same series is this shot from another angle. Interestingly, the 2/7th Bn Carrier is of British make, while the 2/6th Bn Carrier is an Aust LP1. Neither appear to have unit or Div markings.

Caption: "Egypt. 1940-10-10. Men of the 2/6th and 2/7th Battalion on two Bren gun carriers. Identified men of the 2/6th Battalion in the vehicle (right) are from left to right: (standing) all unidentified, seated: Private (Pte) Barclay; Pte Trigg? (behind); unidentified, unidentified; Pte Bubba Peterson; VX4418 Pte A. Howell (front, face only visible) later killed in action in Greece on 2 April 1941; unidentified (behind); Pte Jack Hewitt who also served in the First World War; Corporal Gordon Dunne; Pte W. Ward."

At a gathering this weekend we thought we'd add to this thread with a modern update. The number of people aboard my LP2 Carrier was 32, and there was room for more if we had more to join us. All in good fun. David...
