There was a tribute to Mr. Claude Stanley Choules on the Australian news services on the 5th. May. What an amazing man. Still active to the end with a good sense of humour.

I think that just leaves a lady as the last veteran, period?

Many years ago I wondered what would happen when the last passed and to be honest it seems like a damp squib..I had hoped that there would be more of a tribute but there has just been a few lines in newspapers. Perhaps there will be more around Armistice Day (11/11/11)?
