They look a bit too tight. Nothing really bad will happen other then the track wearing out just that much quicker. However the amount of driving you will probably be doing is very slim compared to the army in the 1940's
There should be about 4 inches of space between the edge of the fender and the track links at the lowest point of the track sag. A quick way to check is if you can fit your clenched fist thumb up in the low point they are properly tentioned.

This is what it should look like. There is about 4.5 inches of sag in my track.

No offense Jordan, but, I would not suggest that Brad do anything with his tracks until he has put a few miles on them. This is especially true if the tracks are quite rusted as they will loosen up signifigantly after a few miles.

Good point and no offense taken
I was thinking of that too. Ive seen my tracks change there tightness depending on how mud and rust is in them. Driving around on paved roads for a bit will get all rust/ crud out.

Well done Brad you can be rightly proud of your efforts, your carrier looks great,and its good to see it mobile again, mine is coming along well, I flew down south last week and got most of the little things that I had needed, so as soon as the wheels come back with their new tires it will be full steam ahead to complete mine, What the other boys said is true give it a few miles to free up the track and then have annother look at it, by then all should be OK. once again well done its a credit to you.
