O.K., curiosity has killed this cat. What does the quote after your posts mean?

I've got a couple of guesses:

1) You can always tell a Scotsman, you just can't tell him much.
2) My kilt is causing my bollocks to itch!
3) Mutton is better than nuttin'
4) Robbie Burns was the greatest poet that ever lived.

Was I close?

Please illuminate!

British Pathfinder Group is going to be parachuting on DZ "Y" again this year. There are two lifts in the C-47 confirmed and possibly a third depending on people getting their deposits sent in time.

No jump at the British this year as that was a one shot deal for the 60th anniversary to prove a stick or two could have gotten in on the German side between the bridge and the river bank low area.

Wish I was going back but I'm short on money and time this year

Gentlemen here it is:

Saturday 16 September

10.00 parachute drop by men of the 4th (Volunteer) Battalion The Parachute Regiment at Ginkel Heath by Ede, followed by wreath-laying at the Monument.

http://www.airborne-herdenkingen.nl/uk/programma.php

And that’s just one of many activities, also their will be the annual "race to the bridge" which starts around 14.00 hour near oosterbeek, moves past the little church in oosterbeek stops at the arnhem bridge after which the vehicles will drive back to oosterbeek and end at the "Hartenstein hotel".

Also "keep them rolling" will be holding a static show and defile in Ede, not far from Oosterbeek.

Wim

Here is a new series of pictures, taken in and around Ede and Oosterbeek, yesterday.

I was there as a spectator and it was well worth it, again.

Default Carrier?

Alex

Fab pictures!!
One of the pictures shows a carrier #T340234 with hoops for a tarp.
Any idea who owns this carrier? I would like to find out more about this.

Many thanks

Barry

Hello, he was parked in front of me, the frame was home made, I will have to find out his name, but I think I can tell you tomorrow.

PS. It was a great day, the four Arnhem vetrans who jumped, just landed in front of us.

Hendrik van Oorspronk

PS.I am stil looking for more pictures of my own carrier during this event, we had forgotten our camara.
