Default Very well done!

I just downloaded the book and it looks like a great tribute, and a splendid capture of the history of conflict in that area.

A job very well done - thank you .

Excellent work Jakko....also happy to see the pictures in high res now

I hope other will join the discussion on some of the details and fittings we see on some of the tanks.....light the neat folding tray, as seen on the transmission cover of the Sherman on the leading picture....the large boxes on the right hand side of the Crabs.......and maybe that piece of round bar welded to the commanders cupola on Crabs (and an occasional Sherman V)!

Yeah, this version doesn’t need to be e-mailed (at least not by me) so I decided to up the resolution a bit

That would be interesting, yes. I wish I had answers, but I’m not exactly the most qualified person for that.

Strange … it should download normally. How big is the file you downloaded? The English version should be 284,485,960 bytes, so if it’s smaller than that, it somehow didn’t download completely. Otherwise, something else is going on, but it’s hard for me to say what that might be without further information.

And thanks to everyone else who replied

Update!

I’ve just put version 1.1 online

It has had mistakes corrected, new information added that surfaced after the initial release, some additional photographs, and more! Also, there is now a version intended for printing out as well as one for viewing on a computer screen, tablet, etc.

You can download a (new?) copy from tankwrecks.westerbeke.name, still free

Default Census Number Query

Hi Jakko,

Great piece of work thank you.
I think I might have spotted a census number typo error. Sorry.
You list Churchill IV census T32283 A2C with details and photos etc but in the appendix at the end it is listed as T32263 A2C.

Cheers

Kevin

Hi Jakko,

No problem. I was just cross referencing the names and numbers against my databases and spotted it.

Just a little bit of history to a couple of Churchills:-
T32023/R was with 142 RAC up to 1943
T68273/R was with Ontario Regiment up to 1942, then 148 RAC in 1943

Cheers

Kevin
