Default rainy day projects, extinguisher

A little project i undertook for all the brass fire extinguishers that decorate my MV's.
I cut off the handle after pulling it out to pump, and then melted the solder to pull off the cap. then cut off all the internals, clean it up and solder the handle to the cap, solder back on the tip and remove all the solder from around the cap rim. for painting the inside to make it easy to see whats inside, i learned to use a long brush to paint the bottom and it says a lot of the rattle tin paint.
makes a handy storage for insurance and registration and a pair of sunglasses, phone charger etc.

Interesting. I never thought of converting one into a storage container. Did you have any dry cleaning fluid left inside any of them?

Default I would suggest........

........marking the outside MT ........

Can you imagine if there was a small fire/accident and some volunteer/passer by grabbed you extinguisher and started to pump Psst psst psst...... trying to save your vehicle or your life.....

Another option is to fill it with beer......... in that case get a bigger extinguisher.

I carry all my papers in a zip lock bag inside my locked toolbox in the corner compartment that holds a 2 gal POW can .......

so next time at a CMP show I am going to checkout all the extinguishers.....

How is the Lynx coming along???

Default extinguisher

I have a modern current fire extinguishers in all my trucks mounted behind the passenger seat and the lynx has a big one under the tarp on the right front fender. I am a bit afraid of fires since several fires with family when i was a kid.
as for the lynx, i've had it around the block a few times since all the recent upgrades, radiator and fan correct throttle linkage,(thank you Andrew Rowe), rebuilt the shift box, rewired, tubes and a whole list of details i had made a list of over the last couple years. Last Saturday I went to a local event and found and fixed a coolant leak, found and fixed a wiring issue and Sean Black got some seat time driving around a big empty lot. still on the todo list is get the speedometer working and i want to leather upholster the drivers seat. while my butt has more cushioning it also carries a greater load. somebody took some pictures and video just not me.
