Hi tony,

Yes the manual is mine, I offered it to mark but he was after the maintenance manuals, and fred i beleive has a parts list.

I didnt know how much it was worth, so i put it on ebay, otherwise/if i knew or had a value of what it is worth, i would have offered it here on MLU, as i dont really like the idea of selling ebay first.

Ian.

Hi Hanno,
Yes it wasnt a bad price! Infact im quite a happy chappy! More money to help finish the jeep with now.

I notice yours has the C60X 04 in the top corner, and then is it a date of January 1945, or do i need my glasses?

What is the significance of the 04 where as mine has 03 (1944 date)? Is this something to do with the different (?) date as well?

Why the different printing times, is it purely to accomodate for updates ot the manual or to co-incide wiht different production batches of the truck?

Cheers,
Ian.

Tell me, which Jeep parts cost only AU $92.90? The air in the tyres?

No, you don't need glasses, my copy is C60X-04 dated January 1945. Apparently there were at least four editions of the C60X parts list, each of which must have incorporated the changes in production which inevitably were introduced over time. Don't ask me what those changes are exactly, though...

Another copy (January 1944 edition) has come up for auction on eBay: Chevrolet Blitz C60X 1944 Spare Parts List Item number: 7986203520.

Quote:
This Spare Parts List relates to the rare 6x6 Canadian Military Pattern Chev Blitz C60X 160 inch wheelbase. It details all parts used in the manufacture of these vehicles. It is dated January 1944, printed in Canada and as far as I can see, is unmarked apart from a single line biro mark on the front cover and the word 'counter' on the first page. It has clearly only been used by a very tidy mechanic, as there are no grease/oil stains.
