bumperette dimensions
Found this jeep parts advertisement, and it gives dimensions as 11 x 6 x 7 dimensions. Would this been standard during WW2, or was there some variation?
Currently building a plastic scale kit of the MB, and although the width matches pretty close, the height and depth scales quite smaller with a good inch less for the other two measurements. regards, Jack |

Thank you for those links. If I understood correctly only difference is mounting hole size, but also Ford produced product would have a scripted 'F' stamped on inner side,
So still searching for confirmation of dimensions. On another forum, the following was provided "Rear x member is 3 1/4 inches; where it is stepped down for the pintle hook it is 3 inches tall. Bumperette is 5 inches tall." https://forums.g503.com/viewtopic.php?t=223462 So from a parts dealer named Kaiser Willys, found a good top view to measure. If 11 inch width is correct, then the depth comes out to 5.5 inches. If I go with 12 inches, then depth becomes 6 inches. Now just need a confirmation on this.. |
