The answer may be in the film, if you could link to it. My theory is the correct 'A' Vehicle census number is the upper one. The lower number is in the 'B' Vehicle census list as within a group of vehicles allocated to the Belgian Forces.

regards, Richard

The film does show Belgian forces so it would appear you are correct.

Also pretty amazing but actually my old Humber MkIV now in the King of Jordans Museum. I did not realise when I asked the original question.

The dealer who brought it off of me claimed it was an original 43rd Reccy Vehicle when he sold it which it was not and added an additional zero in the serial number in this picture.

I suspect knowing the dealer he added an extra zero on the price as well.

I had it advertised for about 3 years very cheaply and basically got no interest.

How much the dealer sold it on for is obviously down to him but it had a spares package with it which needed to go with the vehicle as the engine was very worn but it all got sold off seperately. I doubt very much if it will ever run again in Jordan.

Interesting the Jordanian military sales department contacted me when I had it advertised but were only interested in swaping it for post-war armour. I am sure the dealer fleeced them for a vast amount more than I had it advertised for.

Knowing one that has sold vehicles to the Jordanians, they where not throwing cash around.
The Museum seems to be driving some of their vehicles at events.
Here is a recent picture of the Humber
