Terrific!!!
What a magnificent event!! Everybody did a splendid job, but special commendation must go to Mike T. He not only was everywhere organizing everything but he never flagged in the heat humidity or potential problems (that he solved before they even started).
Amazing. Pics: 1. 94 year old veteran Fox driver re-acquainting with his personal weapon. 2. Jordan shooting film instead of blanks. 3. Comedic moment in the WW2 battle when the medic wore sneakers. 4. Fraternizing with a young WW2 Russian re-enactor. 5. Earliest re-enactor (dating to well before the Romans who where represented at the muster) |

Well done to Mike and all others that helped make this a wonderful event. I already can't wait for next year.
Sadly none of my vehicles could make it but thankfully a carrier was found for me to drive. Thanks Bruce. I was also lucky enough to have Bruce's carrier breakdown today. This ment I could jump over to the FOX and sit up in the turret as crew comander. That was simply amazing. When I get a chance I will put up some photos. Gilles, yes I too found some of the vendors a tad bit $$$, but I did manage to find a couple nice things for decent prices. Mike, when you get a chance to breath and are ready I have a few suggestions that might make the event even better for next year. Another fantastic weekend spent wearing BD, and mucking about with vehicles.

T'anks for doing a fine job, along with the fine folks from the Village. The staff and volunteers at CTHM did a splendid job of the weekend. I wonder of there will be a website that we can visit to see my TV interview? Stewart |

Just got home after all the fun with London-Toronto traffic. I'm ragged but I have a good many pics which I'll try to upload tonight after the jeep is unpacked and everything stowed.
Myke, it was an outstanding show for which you should be commended!

muster postmortem
Hi Folks,
I am still wrapping up loose ends after the show but wish to take this moment to express my great appreciation to all those who chose to participate in the Muster. From all accounts it has been a tremendous success and this was due to your contibutions to the event. BZ to all you and many thanks. Very soon there will be a new folder on the www.militarymuster.org web site. It will be marked as FEEDBACK. I welcome ANY feedback. From general positive and negative comments of a general nature to individual issues. As you know this was the first event I have participated in as an organizer and I already have many observations that I have made that will no doubt improve the quality of the experience. So please feel free to add your "2 bits" worth. By the way it is a go for next year again....(I need my head examined) LOL cheers Mike Timoshyk |

muster numbers
Estimates are in.....3500+ visited the Muster on Saturday and 2500+ visited the Muster on Sunday....all in all a VERY good turnout. One must consider that there were other events happening this weekend as well. A religous festival was held, a rodeo, Port Dover Motorcycle meet and Wambo, a huge car show. With all those other events at the same time it proves that the Windsor / Essex County area has a very strong interest for things military. This should be no suprise considering the military contributions of the past from this area.

Mike
A very good event - despite the temp and mugginess.
My lads are discussing it for next year, and we'll try drag a few more support weapons types along ( maybe mr P will let us borrow the 6 pdr...)

May I add my voice to congratulate Mike and his team for a wonderful event! The museum grounds are a great place to set up our vehicles and encampments, the staff of volunteers were excellent, and it was a very well run event. I'll be there next year!

Next year if you want to deploy the 6pdr in the battle your unit is welcome to it. I suggested it this year but we were understaffed to put in an extra gun crew. If you have the bodies use it. my mortar is available aswell.

Wow! What an event!
Great photos Mike, thanks for sharing them. If you were one of the principle organisers of the event, I take my hat off to you.......

FYI Tony, Myke was THE principle organiser of the event. Without him none of this would have taken place.
