Default Boulogne 17 September 1944

On 17th September 1944, my father was the RAAF bomb aimer in Lancaster JO-T which was the only bomber shot down on a daylight bombing run over Boulogne. The Canadians were the forces on the ground. Some of the regiments involved were the Nova Scotia Highlanders, Regiment de la Chaudiere and the Cameron Highlanders of Ottowa. All the crew escaped by parachute and the pilot went on to crash land the lancaster near Samer, south of Boulgne. He too was uninjured. All the crew were picked up and delivered to the Canadian forces. I hoping that someone knows something about this incident as there are several French villages named as the crash site. Is this the best forum to get this sort of information? Any help appreciated.
Leah
