Default Chevy 216 Rebuilt Clutch

There is a Chevy 216 rebuilt clutch for sale on Ebay USA. The cost of shipping this item to Australia costs more than the part itself.

Default E-bay price is high for US

Hi Scott

The price is high for US Dollars, I looked up the same part New on NAPA List $281 US jobber price $164 US and the Rock Auto Price is $116.

Has anybody found which one of the regular automotive places like NAPA or Rock Auto that will ship overseas? Have you used them and do they work?

I just looked at the Rock Auto site http://www.rockauto.com/ and it looks like they will ship to Canada, Britain and Australia. Quick check on Rock Auto looks like shipping a clutch would be $180. So you are right the shipping is still more than the part.

I've checked with my local NAPA independent store owner and he has done some sales out side the US through a third party. Maybe it would be worth doing a little research on customs and shipping from this end. I'll check with our State economic development people they are suppose to have this information to encourage New Hampshire business to sell outside the US.

(Replied earlier to your post then deleted it because I missed the fact the location of the part when it was quoting Australian Dollars while the part was still in the US.)

Cheers Phil

I have a contact near Sydney who has a container of antique car parts shipped from California to Australia several times a year. He advertises on an early car site offering to move parts for other collectors. He may be interested in adding military vehicle parts to his loads. If there is interest I can discuss this with him & then put you in touch with him. Please PM me if you think this could be helpful.
