Trailer type

Some help needed please. I am looking for an early war trailer that would have been used in desert around 1941/2. As my speciality isn't of the trailer fraternity I need some help/advice as to the model I should look for. British or South African made would be good, single axle, canvas tarp with or without hoops. names which come to mind are Brockhouse, Coventry Climax etc but what are the dates of these?
