Those "American Supply Trucks" in slide 10 look more like CMP's to me!

Owen.

Default Colourized Images

The images are bw and have been colourized, sadly a recent fad embraced by not only the public but by museums as well. Naturally this had led to colourized images now being passed off as actual wartime colour photographs. Unfortunately as technology improves, the ability to interpret and appreciate Second World War imagery with any level of accuracy has been diminished.

And only as good as the colourizer's knowledge and research. I do find they add life however.

American supply trucks, armored vehicles and artillery pieces pour ashore after the beach assault was complete on D-Day. In the the skies above are barrage balloons, which had thick cables attached to their undersides designed to entangle and bring down dive-bombing aircraft. The bombardment of the beaches began at 6am on June 6, 1944, and within hours, soldiers from Canada had established the beachhead at Juno Beach and the German defenses were shattered.

I bet they should be brown instead of olive green which would change the picture considerably.
