Default ID please on this bayonet and binoculars

Greetings from NSW Australia.

My local RSL has been given an old bayonet and an old pair of binoculars.

We think they are WW1 - can anyone provide information on these 2 items.

Thanks

Gloucester RSL Sub Branch.

Bruce, Click on "manage attachments" under the text box, then click on brouse find picture on your computer and double click on it then click on upload, you can do this five times per post. You may have to resize your pictures to suit the forum.

Thanks robert

The piccies won't upload due to their size - 2.11 mb. Does the MLU forum have a re-sizing function?

You will have to resize them on your computer, you can do this by editing in paint. My computer came with an inage resizer installed all I do is right click on a picture and click on resize then size it to suit. This may be able to be downloded if you look in the right place. hope this is of some help.

Thanks Robert.

Sadly, I don't have 'paint', but used 'www.resize.it' to shrink. Do the 3 images that I loaded display ok?

Japanese Arisaka bayonet, and if the binoculars are from the same place, probably Japanese too.

Default tooth pick

Looks to me to be a Mk1 #3 quillion bayonet from ww1, most had hook removed, a good clean around end of blade and hook should show maker and if lucky the rifle it was issued to.

I thought it might have been an Enfield bayonet with quillion as well, but the end of the quillion is wide like an Arisaka i am with Bruce on his one. The two types of bayonets do appear similar.
