I've got to miss it this time. I'm in charge at the Weymouth parade. Will probably see you there. Ron

Default See you there

Just got my fingers crossed on the weather Ron.

If all goes to plan, come and say hello. I think the plan is to be in Weymouth Sunday morning about 10.30 hrs.

Do you know what is happening in Weymouth on the Sunday?

Regards

Barry

I do believe that we (Rick, Ian and me) should be on site late Friday night early Saturday Morning.

that's the plan but we've got to get the carrier sorted first and it's in norfolk at shaun's gaff so we're going down for 3 days this week to get stuck into it, so it should be a done deal.
i'll see you down there fella's

Barry I'll probably be running around like a headless chicken on Sunday. We need you blokes on site at Lodmoor car park by 9.30 ideally. The times are all arranged with Jack Becket and Jim Clark so just follow their lead.

If the weather is good there will be thousands of public lining the seafront route of the parade. Starting at the eastern end and finishing at the pavilion (about 1 mile). Marching bands, veterans, forces groups and flag bearers first followed by us. We will have some re-enactors marching also. Some of our 4x4 and 6x6 vehicles will assemble on the beach. The rest will stay on the hard. The fun part will be getting you lot turned round to head back to A&E HQ when the road is re opened.......All good fun for our DR section. Ron

Default Ron can you help ?

Ron

Can you help.

Jack is a really nice guy, but as you can imagine very busy at the moment.

I want to bring the carrier down to Weymouth on Sunday but I don't want to drive her. Do you know somewhere I can off load her just outside of town and then join in the convey as they pass. It can be a little way out just need a car park or somewhere to leave the lorry.
Any ideas?
I don't mind making a few phone calls.

Many thanks

Barry

PS : I guess Rick will want to do the same?

Barry. You can off load at our assembly point, which are the large car parks at the rear of the hotel at Lodmoor Country Park. http://www.premierinn.com/en/hotel/W...mouth-seafront

I will be on duty there from about 7.30 Sunday Morning Look for my RAF Royal Enfield. But I'll be looking out for you. The earlier the better (between 8-9).

Don't worry Rick. There'll be plenty of good old girls around who have probably seen a lot worse. Nothing a good dollop of goose grease can't solve. Ron

Default A & E 2012 videos

Yes I know have a good laugh at M2U00141.

I can tell you "you don't want to do that to many times with a Sherman close behind"

The rest are of us entering Dorchester, Dorset, England.
I think there are about 40 vehicles following in the convoy.
The carrier had the privilege of leading some of the way.

We had a fantastic day out driving a total of 22 miles.
