SOLD POW..

Nice GSW manufactured, 1943/1944 dated and C broad arrowed.
Completed with cap and no holes.
A little dirty but will clean up nice.

That would be a 2-gallon can and it can hold any of the fluids, hence being a P-O-W can. They also hold air very nicely when being displayed. Great price if you need a can.

I have seen many of these cans, usually they are marked, sometimes not especially if a repaint.
The marked cans that show up most are the petrol, water and oil in that order,
For whatever reason, the oil ones are the scarcest to find.
There were also oil cans made in a 1 gallon size, square as they are half sized compared to the one shown.

Default Tin colour

Loved the pictures of the tins, just about to paint up some this weekend. Just wondering if all water tins were painted white?

I once saw a 2 gal. white tin with black lettering (in the original WW2 style) for Kerosene. It was in a Saskatoon junk store and, as we were flying home, the wife said no. I've been kicking myself ever since.

thanks Bruce it looks great next to my 1 gallon can GSW 1944 "water can" now just have to find the holder for the rear of the carrier.. you wouldnt have one of those?
