Default Pops RAAF pics

Hi, these are not mine first of all. I don't know who they belong to.
Found these on another forum posted by an aussie user. Probably not an MLU'er.
Many interesting pics though on pages 1 and 2. Including Blitz trucks.

nice pics

Sadly, many of these snaps are lost when family members chuck them out on the rubbish , it happens more than you would think. My father had 2 thick albums. He had a small camera..but 90% of the pics are gone . I only have a handful of them now, mostly ships as he was in the RAN . The photo print paper was labelled VELOX. He took pics of the bomb damage in Darwin , he was there during the first raid but these pics are long gone. His favourite ship as a crewmember was the HMAS Platypus, the crew called her the "PLATS"

Found another one .My fathers brother was in the RAN as well. I think this is my Uncles ship ..Whyalla maybe . Anyway its one of the Bathurst class , built here in large numbers. The guys painting it would be crew members .

Great pics Mike. The one with the ship tied up is interesting for the number of flags it is flying!
