Universal Carrier with a Piat battery
Hello
I was wondering if any knows anything about this vehicle? All I know is that it is suppose to be the 16th Field Company, R.C.E in late 44, probably in the Netherlands. I am guessing that this is was an experiement, utilizing existing materials and supplies, to help in the assualt of canals, dykes, etc. This assumption seems to be backed up by the book "Making Tracks" which says a few were made/used. If so, then I certainly like to find an account of them in action. Regardless it will make an interesting project. Regards |

Universal Carrier with a Piat battery
Hello Mark,
Thanks for the reply. I already have that image plus a few others. In fact I purchased the only 4 photos of the vehicle that I could find while visiting the National Archives. There are a few stowage diagrams in that post that should be of some help while building the model. Allready saved to the hard drive Regards |
