Default Manufacturing pic

Hope this isn't too big. Just found it in a publication from around 1941 called "Australia Arms" (don't know what happened to "Australia Legs").

I was fascinated by the level of detail, you can see "engine OK" chalked on some of the hulls and stock of radiators, engines and brake parts ready to attach.

I assume this was either Victorian Railways or South Australian Railway workshops.

Hi Keefy
You have the back half of the picture I have. The location is the South Australian Railways Workshop at Islington circa 1941. As you can see they were still manufacturing locomotives as well.

Thanks, Bob
I suspected this might have been SA. What a sight! It's likely at least one of the carriers in these pictures is still around, too.

Default SA Carrier

Hi Keefy
Our Museum carrier Hull No. 2340 1941 manufacture would be in this picture, and let anyone prove otherwise.
