M24 Chaffee - setting rear servo on Hydramatic transmission
Hi,
Since there seems to be little info on this, I have attached some videos I took of setting up the rear servo/band in a 1945 Hydramatic transmission in a Chaffee tank. I'm working on videos for the front servo. Malcolm https://youtu.be/BQpR4ApSOd0 https://youtu.be/RqM21bW7uzs https://youtu.be/VgWJWCdmzQ4 https://youtu.be/sH4keegoBw8 |

John, The Chaffee trannies are as simple as a Hydramatic can be. They are very similar to the M5 but they don't have the reverse gear (the reverse is in the transfer case) and they don't have that tricky throttle linkage from the carb, the valve body uses intake manifold vacuum to determine engine load.
