Default Canadian Car and Foundry Site

How did the aircraft production from this plant leave the site? Was there an airstrip as part of the complex or did the aircraft have to be towed to another location for flight testing?.

Lots of web information on what aircraft were built there and in what buildings, but nothing seems to cover initial flight details.
