Default Iraq ca. 1935 - motorized police with machine guns

Colleagues - I have jst stumbled over these photos, captioned Iraq 1935 / police. Admit I have never seen such thing but it does not look improvised / done in a hurry. It would be interesting to learn more about this police unit / operations / vehicles & equipment.... else: Just enjoy the photos.

They are well armed with Lewis guns, even through the modified front windscreen.

They look like something out of 'Indianna Jones'.
