Default Dodge T236 / D3/4 APT

I have a friend trying to get a Canadian Dodge licensed, but he have some problems with the autorities...

I have told him I will try to find some documentations on this vehicle, but it seems all my books are in someone elses bookshelf.... and I can't remember who.

Anyone who can help with a scan of datas from somesort of TM's???
Will espessially need dimentions and wights, and if possible the serialnumbers to confirm this.

Thanks in advance
Rolf

Here is a bonus.... (it is not the vehicle in question)

Default Dimensions, weights and details

I have a sheet with the following info. Unfortunately I cannot scan it.
3/4t Dodge APT GS Body
Dimension:
Overall width 77"
Overall length 182"
Overall height 84"

Weights
Curb Weight of Vehicle 5960lbs
Driver and mate 400lbs
payload 1680lbs
Gross weight 8040lbs
Maximum allowable weight 8000lbs

Chassis
The chassis for this vehicle is a Dodge 3/4 ton 4 x 4 98" wheelbase Code D 3/4 ton APT - equipped with 9.00-16 US mud and snow non directional tread and winch.

References
D.M. & S Specification no. O.A. 137
D.M. & S Schedule of Drawings S-342753
D.M. & S File number 73-T-106
A.E.D.B. Photo file No. E-23
Vehicle Code No. D 3/4 APT-G.-S.-1
Body Code No. 2M2A
Experimental Engineering Report E-614
Maintenance Manual 3/4 APT-D1

Don't know if this helps but the info comes from a page I've had on hand for a while although I cannot remember the source. It is obviously from a military technical manual.

Default thanks

Thanks Chris!!

It will help me!
And Mike McKinley has promissed me a scan over the week-end of the info I need, so I guess I now have the info required.
Also got a page from E. Beckers book sendt to me from a mate here in Norway. But the info there is not exactly the same It states 7500 lbs "inuquipment" which I guess means without equipment... whatever wquipment it is supposed to be...

The bloke who needs the info have two Canadian Dodges and one of them he has licensed under 3,5 ton, but the autorities won't let him get the other under 3,5 ton. We have a new license class when the vehicle is over 3,5 ton and another one over 7,5 ton (and then some more classes) in this "easy living contry"...

Chers

Rolf, I am kind of suprised that your local transportation license office would give your friend a hard time over his second truck. If the first one is already licensed, surely they have set the precident. 3.5 tonne here is 1000kg x 3.5 = 3500kgs converted to pounds that is 7700 lbs. If your friends vehicle is used solely as a parade vehicle or driver, I'm sure it will never be loaded to its full payload. Are your rules for a vehicle's capacity or empty? Sometimes here we need to have a weight ticket from a scalehouse to prove the point...

Default Who have the power...

Chris.

You have probarbly met them once or twice, but when you bumps in to a official serviceman that "know everything" and tells you that the truck alredy licensed should not have been because of this anf that, you can't do much. They have the power and they know...
We have had many accounts of different meanings from the officials regarding veteran vehicles. Of course there is set a prciedense, when one truck is approved, but they just love to make problems for you. I do know people that have taken their truck many many miles to the next transportation office, because there they do license the truck as you want it to be.
And Yes, we can have a big truck licensed without payload, but it can be a long walk to do..
The rules are normaly for a loaded vehicle.

Rolf
