Default Canadian Full Dress uniforms

Looking for photos of Canadian soldiers in full dress. See www.servicepub.com/uniforms.htm and you'll see where I am going with this. Some of you may have photos of yourselves all decked out - care to share?
Thnx, Clive

Default Service Dress

Clive!

The RCR SNR NCO is not dressed completely proper for the scarlets he is in. We wear the Wolseley Helmet not the beret. The beret is only worn for administrative occasions when wearing or the helmet is not pracical ie in a car. Of course scarlets are not our modern dress.... our modern dress is the DEU... the scarlets are for ceremonial parades etc.

Thnx Craig, I knew that but the wearing pf the beret (and before that, the CF forage cap) was not unusual when in uniform but not 'on parade'. This was especialy prevalent with the R22eR at the Citadel where the Duty NCO wore undress headdress while in full dress.
In my old unit, the GGFG, the forage cap is often worn in full dress, again for those functions when not 'on parade'.

Default Dress uniforms

Hi,

I just bought a book called "From D-Day to VE-Day: The Canadian Soldier". It is incredibly detailed.

I recommend you check it for pictures/details of uniforms and equipment.

Default Book

I don't think that I will buy a copy as the author sent me a complimentary, signed, copy when it was first published. He was also kind enough to list me in the acknowledgements.

Default uniform

That Queen's Own Sgt. you show is a Band Sgt. with a drum crossbelt and bugle band qualification not crown above the hooks. His name is Alec Greer and he's been with the Regiment
over 50 years, although now retired. He was the lead drummer for the band.
