Majority of farmers are hand feeding or selling off stock.
QLD farmers floooding the NSW markets lately as the overseas trade had been stalled again so prices have gone through the floor

Default Sorry

No photo's AJ but the Hedges did do an over night stop at Ganmain on their way home.

Wood fire BBQ and a wild night of traditonal Ganmain hospitality.

Thanks for posting the photos Andrew, and we should have taken some pictures to show all the feast we had at Ganmain, also the blitz sited at cooneys creek was probably Fred and Marilyn from Blaxland.

Now the trip.....On our way to Dubbo for supplies we were spotted by a local who has a chev truck and as you do on these trips we all headed to his farm for a look as it was nearly on our way and negotations are under way with one in the group.
After the detour we made it to Byrock pub for the night. Next morning a short run to Bourke and a late morning tea at the bakery and on to Louth for a camp, in the morning drivers of the old trucks took them to the local school to show the 3 students and 2 teachers, apparently the school will lose 1 student next year and the school may close. Lunch was at the Tilpa pub the home of Breaker Morant country and has the only memoral to him we know of.
From Tilpa we had a good run down the river camping on the river and at Menindie we stayed 2 nights for a look around and some fishing, then onto Mungo national park and Wentworth where the Darling meets the Murray. After leaving Wentworth we headed along the Murray camping and stoping at Tims to look at his toys and and then onto Echua for 2 nights. Our last day together was spent looking at a military colection and a lunch time 2 hour cruise on the paddle steamer Emmy Lou on the Murray. All the old vehicles held together ok considering the condition of some of the roads with corrugations and dust. Kathy and I really enjoyed ourselfves with good company and lots of laughs, and feed back has also been good.

Max
