F60L 12 cab pre-paint markings.?
Hi all, please forgive me if I do the typical stuff up with uploading photos as it is my first time trying to upload them but here goes..
I have taken these photos in the hope someone can inform me as to what this marking is on my 12 cab F60L.? The ARN has told me only that it is a typical GS truck but I have never seen a marking like this before on a CMP, that appears to have been applied well before the normal kahaki and ARN was applied to the vehicle. At the moment it only appears to be on the one L/H side of the front nose. The red square measures roughly 4"x4" in size and has what looks like "HK" stencilled into it with the letters being the same color as the background behind the red square. Is anyone able to inform me regarding this.? Thanks in advance.

Could it be a white ‘W’ on a red background?

Emery
Keep going with emery Beau - over the bonnet side of the guard I reckon.
I think I see the remains of an ARN starting with 2 as well. But gently gently...

Don't think so but have been wrong before
Hey mate,
I'm pretty sure its defiantly a "HK" on a red background square but I have been wrong before. What was your thoughts with it being a "W".?

Will post ARN
Quote:
The red square picture looks to have been painted well before the khaki and ARN had been applied. This truck is the one that came from out west and had had its roof and back wall section removed and then layed over the front nose section of the cab, pretty much protecting it from any elements. Hence my thought that the markings are something rarely found due to the front section not being protected like this one was. But I could be wrong on all counts as well.
