Default WLC wreck in France

I saw a posting on Facebook of a WLC, 3rd Canadian Division markings rearended by a Citroen. I couldn't tell by the picture or the story if the rider was OK? Anybody know who this might have been?

Sadly, the rider did not survive and the car driver fled the scene.

Story here (in French)
http://www.midilibre.fr/2013/11/25/u....php#reactions

the story says the rider was found about 200 metres from the wrecks...accident occurred about 1800h and the rider died about 1900 at the scene... He was coming home from a commemorative event in memory of Jews deported from France

car driver fled the scene... Story ends by saying the rider had almost made it home..the accident was only a few hundred metres from his home

After the alcohol or drugs were out of his system no doubt.
Hit and runs these days have become the norm as no one wants to take responsibility for their actions especially if they have been doing something stupid and/or illegal. We would perhaps average one a week in Melbourne.

Horrific accident, the picture shows the nature of the impact: the Harley was "embedded" in the car's front end.
