Show them as a link, Bruce, and as a common courtesy, advise that you are the seller of these items.
Cheers!

Thanks for that Tony,
I was hoping it would come up as a link, but when it didn't i just figured any form of letting people know will have to do.

Default Seller should mention

up front that the ad is for a CD...not a manual.
Big difference.

Default CD not Manual

A manual can come in more than one format, electronic or on paper, or just instruction by word.

I chose what i did, as it is my perogative, you interpret how you wish, like it or lump it mate, Many people collect paperback manuals ,thats fine, i offer something for the average guy to print out and work on his MV.

Just choice mate, thats all.
At a 1/4 of the price.

If you still want to get your opinion of your chest, email me at bmccann@optusnet.com.au and i will give you your right of reply.

Default G'day Bruce

I notice you have the Ford F15-HB1 drivers handbook on CD listed at $30

I have some genuine original printed versions (NOS) available for $25

Default Items on Ebay

Hi Keith,

The price you quote is correct, however on top of the F15HB1 Drivers Handbook, the purchaser also gets the MBC1, and Ford Special Pattern Vehicles ALL 3 for $30

Cheers
Bruce, counting down to Corowa

Hi Sydneymver,

Your reply to Simons practical comment about the CD's comes across as being very nasty to him, and very nasty for MLU tone. This thread was brought to my attention by a couple of concerned members and I have to agree I was quite taken aback by the nasty seeming reply of your words. In reading the thread I see peoples comments as being very brief and direct, but not nasty at all, and they didn't warrant what reads like a very rude reply. Maybe you took them as being nasty?

PS:

Sydney, when people in MLU talk about manuals they mean the paper/books ones as they collect them and it is nice and fair to let folks know its a CD as most, if not all, WILL assume you're talking the booklets

You are correct in saying i took his reply as a slur on what i was offering, If i am wrong I am very sorry to him.

My original "intention was a "Heads Up" on relevant information to the group as a whole", the message was only to guide members to view the Ad, where on Ebay it Fully states what the interested party has the option to buy.

Thats all, no harm done, i hope everyone is happy and satisfied as i am.

Thanks.

ps,, Keith i hope my last reply to you clarified your post ?

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for replying so quickly. You did come across like you got your back up and got nasty People do get their backs up with each other sometimes but being nasty doesn't last long in MLU. Its the "nasty" part that caused concern. We've had some hotheads in here that were "consistantly obnoxious to others" and it really adds a rotten tone to MLU which is a drag ... Geoff and others tend to be pretty quick to jump in and try and nip any trends like that it the bud. He's asleep and Hanno isn't here, so I jumped in as I was worried.

I see you'll be at Corowa, so will I, so behave because I'll be bringing my frying pan and I will use it if I need to.

I expect I'll be meeting a whole lot of people at Corowa ... am greatly looking forward to meeting a lot of you MLU-ers in person, and so is Geoff (MLU owner and Master) who will be sporting his Digger hat I'm sure ... just look for the Canadian guy in the digger hat and a big grin and a really short Canadian lady with a frying pan in her hand (me) ... I could be very fat by the time I get there ... I almost ate a whole box of Valentines chocolates I got on sale today. They aren't Tim Tams, but they ARE chocolate!

Tony,

HOW did you make those come up as links? Or did they automatically register as links when you "quoted" with your reply to Bruce?

Thanks Master Tim Tam Man.

I think it is called Hyperlinking using vB Code!?! It is explained when you click "Post Reply", on the left hand side you will see a category vB Code dealing with fonts, colours, picture, etc. Click on vB Code help, and it will tell you to write a link to any web page like this:

[u*r*l=http://www.mapleleafup.org/forums/]MLU Forum[/u*r*l]

I just modified Bruce's reply to include the hyperlinks in his quote.

Default Ooops...Sorry Bruce

I really didn't mean to wind you up so tight. My comment was directed at sellers, and I didn't realize you were the seller. Some listings on E Bay show medal groups at low prices and aircraft or U Boat manuals at low prices, and when you go to them and read them they are CD's. I agree with you completely about their value as a reference tool and how reasonably priced they are in relation to original manuals (I have 34). Didn't mean to stir up that hornets nest.
Thought I would wait to reply....so here it is.

I mistook Bruces offerings for original manuals an hit the buy it now button and started the buying process to contact him with payment options and then saw that they were CD's...
I immediately contacted Bruce and explained the situation to him and he very graciously recognized my error and we went through the song and dance with e-mails back and forth to each other and to e-bay because once I hit the buy button his account is charged the sellers fee weather I back out or not unless e bay is contacted and a mutual agreement between buyer and seller is recognized and ebay is in the picture and makes the final decision..
So it cost money to make mistakes, weather it is actual cash or in time it took to make it right with all involved.so I found Bruce very good to deal with and Bruce, you'll probably be hearing from our two Crazy Canucks at Corowa..they'll tell you I'm retarded..
Thanks again ...

bob....the other night i was watching the movie cannonball run...there is a fictional character in it named captain chaeos...who seems to dress much like our friend nacho....when he appeared on the screen i was attempting to take a mouth full of cold refreshing alpine lager which i proceeded to expell through my nostrils all over the table....i guess what i'm saying is that if you must pounce please keep your distance.....i wouldn't want anyone to get hit with projectile lager mike
