Default SOLD - Dewats FS: WWII Inglis Mk.I Bren

Both sold

For Sale: WWII Inglis Mk.I Bren and WWII USGI M1A1 Thompson SMG

SOLD: see prices in red below. I'll consider trade for an authentic Breitling, Omega, Rolex, or other fine non-quartz Swiss men's watch (be advised any such piece will be authenticated by a certified watchmaker upon receipt).

a) WWII Canadian Mk.Im BREN

Attn. collectors, re-enactors, and military vehicle enthusiasts: this is easily the most 'minty' dewat Canadian Bren I've ever seen! Carefully and professionally deactivated, this museum quality gun's action and selector switch both move (the former does not 'lock').

Please note this Exc. Bren looks practically 'out of the grease' because it is: this 90%+ finish gun is not a 'frankengun' built from leftovers, not 'DP' (drill purpose) marked, and not a battlefield pickup.

Perfect for the discerning collector who wants the absolute nicest Johnny Inglis Bren they can get, for the WWII vehicle enthusiast wants a great-looking Bren gun to match their meticulously restored commonwealth vehicle, and ideal for the re-enactor or regimental museum who want an excellent example of Canadian history.

$(SOLD) and she's yours: EMT preferred, buyer pays shipping (please include your postal code in your PM for a shipping quote). Price includes a foam-lined 'Gun Guard' rifle case to ensure she arrives looking every bit as pretty as when she left.

b) WWII USGI M1A1 Thompson Submachine Gun

All original Auto Ordnance M1A1 Thompson SMG, U.S. Property marked WWII USGI issue. As with the Inglis Bren this is not a 'frankengun/mixmaster' and was never a converted auto. Thoroughly and expertly deactivated cock and click that doesn't show even when the bolt is opened (except under very close scrutiny with a flashlight, making this piece especially desirable to collector and re-enactor alike. Includes original sling as shown along with a zip up padded nylon case that fits the gun perfectly for discreet transport to militaria shows and re-enactment events. This tommy gun is the honest-to-goodness real deal.

If you've wanted a WWII Thompson don't let this one get away: if you've been looking for one of these you know how scarce they are. $(SOLD) takes her: EMT preferred, buyer pays shipping.

In closing please note each gun is one-of-a-kind: one they're gone they're gone! Canada Customs treats all firearms imports as live firearms and do not allow 'import for the purpose of deactivation,' which is why no more dewats are entering the country.

Default Thompson SMG

Pete II
Have been out of touch for a few days & have just seen ad re above. I am most interested in the Thompson if not already sold, what are you asking for it???? Also, where are you located???? I am in a suburb of Wpg). This would be a cash deal if price is acceptable. Look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards

Bill spence

Default Mk II Bits?

Doesn't that have a Mk. II butt and bipod? Still, looks like a nice piece, though.

The reason I ask is that I trained on the bloody things in the sixties... some of that never leaves you!

Thats actually a mk3 bipod (although it would be used on a mk2 gun). Did Inglis even manufacture the mk3 version?

Sure are some different parts on a non-frankengun.

Bill.
If you check over on gunnutz right now, Garmack has US marked Thompson available for $1K.

Don't think so, Rob, but then again, I trained on muzzle-loading Gatlings, so how the hell would I know?

Ya silly bugger, we KEPT our sticks, just gave away all our Blitz's. I'm gonna go down there to retrieve them from the ungrateful bastards standing upside-down. I'll learn 'em... I'll bring Beccy back with me...
