Default Daimler

Apparently this is a Daimler , the mobile workshop is a Garford or Commer,

The Aust. army ambulance or 'operation theatre' is a 1915 Thornycroft chassis: bodywork by the Vic Railways workshops, Newport.

This is a inter-war Thornycroft with what looks like the British WO patented 'subsidy scheme' articulating rear drive .

Looks like a bandsaw. The overhead line belt drive is visible in these workshop lorries, , runs off the gearbox , no health and safety rules back then.

The SMLE rifle is ready for use. The seating would be similar to a railway carriage.

The only way to travel.
