It's a 1941 Chev Cab 12 C15A.
Share the who, when, and where with us too.

Hello Tim,

Thanks for sharing your picture.

As for finding a C15A Cab 12, the short answer is "no, it is not easy to find them restored". But try checking out the thread CMPs for sale in England, go to the last page to see one for sale quite recently . . . maybe it still is?!? The former owner is a member on here, and he made a beautiful job of the restoration.

HTH,
Hanno

Default Question for the X-spurts....

Is it typical to see a cab 12 still in service in Spring 1943 in the UK....

....or is it because of it's specialized role as a wireless truck...?

Curious!!!!

The kiwi troops probably thought, that was as good as it could get, at the time.

The same unit were still using these trucks in 1945 in Holland... along with the AEC "Dorchester" and the larger 6 wheeler Armoured Command Vehicle (dont recall the name).

Hanno

No probs - hope the pic is of interest.

I have quite a few pics of Canadian Armoured and Softskin vehicles in Signals roles in my collection... maybe will let some more loose in the public domain sometime.

Cheers

Tim
