Default Passable Normandy road sign?

Afternoon all, been working in my garage most of the day making a road sign. Most soldiers were inveterate souvenir collectors, of which they proudly displayed from their vehicles. I've been unable to find a photo of a vintage Normandy road sign ca. 1944, so I cobbled this one together. I've based it upon a road sign seen on a 1/2 track stating: Bastogne 11km.

Comments, queries, concerns, criticism?

It shoud be pointing in the other direction. Carpiquet was to the left and not the right.

Not if you missed the turning and were coming from the other direction.

Depends if you're advancing or retreating!

Default Laying flat

Shouldn't it be laying flat so the airborn troops can see it parachuting down
