Default Introduction of James from OS Canada

First of all I want to thank you for letting me join your forum.

I also want to send a special thank you to David Gordon for helping me before joining MLU. David is extremely knowledgeable and he went far out of his way in answering all of my previous questions in a friendly and prompt manner. His answers made my tasks easy to complete in the most efficient and safe way possible. Thanks again David.

About me. Grew up on a working farm long ago when implements and tractors were evolving from horse conversions to mechanical powered. Not sure why I became a history buff with WW2 being my favourite era. I am an avid reader and have too many WW2 books. 35 years back, I got to drive a running bren gun carrier, fell in love with it and I have always wanted to do it again.

David posted the hull number of my carrier today on my behalf and eventually I want to get it running and restored as best I can. Thanks to everyone who replied to David which he forwarded to me. My carrier has been sitting in the open elements for a long time and it will take a lot of time to get functional. But even though it is in rough shape I am already happy with it and am looking forward to spending many peaceful hours working on it.

I am attaching some photos of it taken a year ago. It is still sitting in the same spot and I am hoping to move it to my place before the end of this summer.

Sorry .... I need to do some research on why my photos would not upload. I will send them hopefully tomorrow or as soon as I can.

James

Smile Welcome Aboard

Welcome Aboard, James!
I have moved your post to the Carrier forum, this makes it easier to locate for browsers (and yourself).
As for posting pictures, it can be a little bit tricky at first, but you'll soon get the hang of things. Have a read HERE and if it still doesn't work, just say so and one of the moderators will help out next time they are on line.
Because, here at MLU, WE LOVE PICTURES! because most of us can't read!
Have fun, ask questions and visit regularly.
Cheers
Howard.
