Default Cab 13 First Aid Kit

Hello all,

I have recently purchased a set of first aid kit “hooks” to go in my Cab 13.

Can anyone kindly tell me where the 2 x hooks should be located ? Do they go along the back wall next to the curtain bag hooks perhaps ?

And was the first aid kit a canvas bag or a metal box ? I have no idea.

Any advise will be much appreciated.

Kind regards

Mark

These pictures are not mine; I saved them off MLU, but can't find the original posts now.....so if anyone recognises them as theirs, apologies for not providing credit!

I'm 95% certain that factory-wise the 13 cab used the exact same setup as this, but maybe others can confirm?

Owen.

Hi Owen,

Brilliant....That’s really helpful .... thank you for posting the photos ! I have never seen a small first aid kit with hooks like that ... I now know what to l👀k for and where to place the hooks ..... mind you ...my side curtain bag takes up a lot of rear cab wall so I will probably ‘off set’ the hooks to one side ......

Thanks very much ...

Kind regards

Mark

The Stevens tins turn up occasionally, sometimes even with the contents but the canvas pouch is a hard one to find. Somebody should make a small batch of new made ones I think. I have a pattern drawn up somewhere but I ain't no seamstress.

There was one listed on Ebay UK a year ago (empty tin, but with the pouch), strangely listed as WW1 first aid kit.....others were willing to pay a LOT more than I was though.

With a pattern, maybe one of the military canvas vendors might consider making a limited run.....if there was enough interest?

Owen.
