Default Band of Brothers

Major Richard "Dick" Winters, OC E Coy, 506th Regt, 101 AB Div, passed away last week.

I saw this on another forum, but have seen nothing in the media.

Sic transit gloria.

RIP

Coincidentally, I had just finished watching the last episode of "PACIFIC", another Spielberg/Hanks/Ambrose/Dye production last night when I turned on the late night news and saw the first "official" news of his passing. It's somewhat sad to think that the passing of this fine man was virtually an "Ooops, by the way," kind of news report.

R.I.P. Sir!
