Default Additions

Note: edited to add that this truck is located in the Netherlands.

Also, it comes with a repro cargo box which makes it a very viable project.

Is this a standard GS version, or some other heavier type? It has 'helper' springs, which to my limited knowledge is not what the GS has, correct?

The helper springs were gun tractor or 60cwt. It's not uncommon that a 101" wheel base gun tractor frame was used for a 101" wheelbase 15cwt truck. Holes where the winch should be would determine if that's what happened on your truck. The front axle looks correct for a 15cwt.

The helper spring supports are bolted on instead of rivited on , so maybe for a generator , or welder truck .

Indeed, or retrofitted for civilian use where they were often overloaded.

Ah, didn't notice that! So probably retrofitted. And as Hanno says, civilian use is probably right, as these trucks were used quite often by civilian companies here in the Netherlands.
Thanks for the info!
