Default might move to Canada

to many snakes here. Had one slither past me in the shed the other day, run over two in the driveway and had one in the garden as well. Also see the buggers in the paddock while cutting hay.

Max,

I remember driving down to Corowa with Dave Brown once, in his Land Rover and we ran over a snake, he recalled how it is not unknown for someone to run over one with an open car and for it to flick up into it. I turned around and saw the rear canopy flap was up, but saw the snake on the road in the mirror, thank goodness

Anyway, I thought you guys were used to dealing with them?

Richard

Default Ssssssss

Don't forget this pic I took a couple of years ago...

It's from the Creepy crawley thread

What sort of snakes do you get, Max?

They're the Eastern Browns, aren't they? The third most poisonous snake in the world.

Post Snakes

Max,
If you want to move to Canada to avoid snakes, some friendly advice, stay away from Manitoba, although it would be nice to have another MV collector around, besides they aren't poisonous, and they're only garder snakes (and lots of them)! Regards, Derk.

To the readers out there,You don't have double vision,I am learning how to respond to a thread and it isn't going very well,as I just started to use a computer last week and have alot to learn, the only thing I know how to do so far is to spend money! Bear with me as I will probably clutter your forum for awhile with these mistakes until I get it right.Well here goes another one if this doesn't show up under my original message!

Max, I hope you'll get this snake problem fixed before I come back;-) I'd like to sleep in a safe bed and drive safe trucks!

There aren't any venomous things here in Kiwiland. Except perhabs the road killed possums. There are supposed to be around 20 Millions or so down here!

Greetings from Christchurch NZ

Default Sheep?

Does this mean we'll have to make our Canadian sheep officially an "ENDANGERED SPECIES" to protect them from you and your CMP's chasing them?

Hello Kathy,

Arrange it to be the weekend before Corowa next year and we can make it worthwhile coming over. Could maybe buy an old Blitz or Carrier at the sale then drive it on down to the Swim-In.

I believe you and I completed a transaction about 2 years ago for the accessories for an AN/VRC 46 set, or some other such item.

But Max, aren't your true treasures Kathy and Emma? You wouldn't sell THEM, would you?

No-one wants that rusty old truck junk... tell you what - Tony, Euan and I will take it off your hands for you to free up some more space for the valuable hay.

Whoa.... don't be too hasty, milady... that presumes we'd actually let the likes of Max into the country...

PS: And even then, I hope you lot like the concept of tons and tons of lovely snow every winter! Just ask Keefy...

I know, I know... I'm just a fine immigration counsellor!

But if his full name was Maximissimo Hedgo-Immigranti? Would it be better if we said he's not really of Anglo descent! Can hardly fathom Canadian democracy and will need some sort of translating assistance on arrival. Surely this is exactly the type of person Canada needs? Look, what if he went on Welfare, too. Would that help? Pleads ignorance of any historic events prior to last week's news. We promise that he will not try to re-import any items of Canadian heritage. I know we could do with the clearing sale as an urgently needed social event.

Jiff we love the thought of tons and tons of snow every winter sure beats the thought of heat and dust again over here every summer. Max said to say that he has already been sitting in your prime ministers chair so surely they would let him into the country.

Kathy, Kathy, Kathy... now listen up. Given the sterling qualitites : of the men who have occupied that chair in the last century, that's hardly a recommendation!

On the other hand, Ill bet ol' Max could probably do as good a job, and probably inject a certain... sense of humour ... otherwise sadly lacking... hmmm....

Default Max for PM!

Let's start a push now to have Max elected to the Canadian Prime Ministership on a platform of restoration of the CMP range as the main form of transport.

Of course you'll need to start saying "oat" instead of "out" as in "get oatta here". Also pronounce some names differently such as "jeeyooorfff"

Psst, Max, you are bilingual, aren't you?

Default tomorow the 17th

Is seven years since we lost our son Robbie. The chev blitz we have called tickets was his, when he got his blitz he didn't care as to whether the blitz was a ford or a chev he just wanted a blitz of his own. Robbie also loved the time he spent in Canada in 1995 in the Mount Forest area.
we will all have beer tomorow for him, preferably a carlton cold
