19th september, race to the bridge.
on the 19th sept after the massive para drop on the ginkel heith the race to the bridge started with only british vehicles used by the airbornes and other british vehicles. in total ther where about 120 vehicles to drive to the arnhem bridge and back to the hartenstein museum. I was luckey to get a lift in the humber staff car from keith brooker, a very nice car and me as the general urquhart it made a perfect pair when we came into oosterbeek near the museum there where a lot and i say a lot of people to watch the parade of these nice vehicles. at the field oppossite the museum we had a static show.
