CMP/Carrier pick axe and helve, Carrier grease gun
I have a few of the pick axes shown in the photo to part with. They are original Canadian issue pick axes in good shape, although after decades of storage they will need some clean up. Most of the picks are dated 43. They fit the retaining brackets on a carrier perfectly. The handle in the photo has a bit of a twist to it, I have plenty of nice clean straight ones. $65 each + shipping.
I also have one Bren carrier grease gun with hose and coupler for sale. It is NOS in the cosmoline and wrapper. If you price out the coupler on the end of the hose, it will run you $75 plus shipping at the local Caterpillar store, I am asking the same amount for the complete grease gun, hose and coupler. Please PM me if interested. |

pick axes
Hi Rob: Count me in for two units (pick axes) and if you have a spare handle, let me know. Any "T" handled shovels in your collection of stuff? I'll call you this week. Cheers...Robert Morrison

No problem, I do in fact have more handles than I do heads. Sorry but I have no T handle shovels to part with, they are not the correct Cdn shovel anyway. You will want a bulldog spade with the split wooden handle. I only have a few of those and am not presently parting with any. They fit perfectly in the shovel brackets for both the cmps/carrier families as well as the later M-series brackets. With this sale of pick axes I will have to say that all are sold for now. I would hate to oversell and not leave one for myself. |

How much, and can you send it to Geoff and I'll get it from him later. Should save on shipping. OK Geoff?

Helves
Hi Rob:
Do you have any of those helves left? I have the head but no helve. Would actually take two if they are available. Arte et Marte! Mike

Sorry but no, they were sold out a year or two ago.
Just a hint though: The current British issue handle has not changed dramatically in 50 years. The only giveaway would be the date stamp. I always seemed to come across one or two when I went on multinational tours. |
