Hi everyone

The following information came from the late Cpt. Forbes of the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry. I found these first hand notes in his black book. It seems most officers kept these as a source of information at there finger tips.

Anyway the pages i found most interesting were those showing the dispositions of troops and vehicles within units.

The following were all scanned as best as I could and have not been altered in anyway other then some cropping.

Enjoy.

That would have been my first guess, I'm surprised that they actually had a separate designation for it. Your reply helps explain this piece of Canadian kit I picked up:

here's another pic showing it's size, that's a yard stick laying across it. It's very large, in fact I store my Circular Tent inside it. I tried to put the tent back into it's original container, but gave up after 1/2 hr. of trying! Don't know how they originally got these tents inside!
Now I need a lot of original WW II wool blankets to fill it up.

CHIMO!

Now off to the hockey game!

I managed to get some more work done on creating a list of RHLI w/e tables.

I found two pages that were helpful within the regimental war diaries. I also have a few photos of the vehicles that are listed. If anyone has any further photos that match known numbers Id love to see them. Sadly when I took pictures of the war diaries I did not get the date in the picture. But I feel they can be dated to the 1941-42 period.
